>Over the past few years, many entrepreneurs have been redefining what “the office” means. For some, that office now lives entirely online. Why did you decide to go remote?

My team is mostly made up of former co-workers and team members from previous roles. I decided to stay remote since many of us had relocated over the years and I wanted to make sure I could bring as many of them together as possible with as little barriers as possible. We already know each other quite well so working remote is a no-brainer.

> How do you create culture and connection in a virtual world?
We focus a lot on humanizing ourselves and spending time on the little things. This means starting off team meetings with cat photos, discussing our weekends or things we're looking forward to. There is a dedicated cultural strategy in our company to always look for opportunities to connect, understand and grow. This extends to work with our clients as well - we have the same dedication to understanding them as we do each other. The result is long-term relationships with clients that often take us from one employer to the another.


>What are some challenges you experience for teams across different cities, states and/or time zones?
Timing! We are spread out across the globe, so making sure we're all online at the right time is key. We make a special effort to rotate through time zones when people have conflicts so that no one bears more of the burden than others.
